Meriam Mountains - 9/12/2004

While having Visitors from Canada We embarked on a half day run to Merriam Mountains. We had three trucks on the run and 4 participants, Wayne & Bernadette (aka Bernie), Pete (aka Wicked Pete), and myself (Michael). Our goal was to show Wayne how we wheel down here in Southern California as well as test out the Ragtop 70 fresh from having mods done, the 74 fresh on new springs, and to hit both ends of Merrriam Mountains. All objectives were achieved despite the usual changes that still have me stumped sometimes trying to find my way around without an accurate detailed map. Wayne also took the honors of having a hill named after him, because he is the first person to every go up the hill in a truck with open diffs, very impressive no carnage not even Wayne's shorts :) more trip reports and pics on the way and posted.
